Jack N' Oogie Can't Decide

(The scene begins, JACK walks on the left side of stage, OOGIE walks on the other side. The background scene is Halloween Town. The music begins.)


(The spotlight goes on JACK.)

JACK

It's not easy having yourself a good time...
Greasing up those bets and betters,
Watching out they don't four-letter.

(He walks over to SALLY, who is in the middle of the stage.)

I can kiss both your cheeks at the same time.

(He kisses both her cheeks, the turns to OOGIE. SALLY leaves the scene.)

You smell like something I've forgotten,
Curled up died and now it's rotten.

(JACK is suddenly wearing baseball cap that's flipped around.)

I'm not a gangster tonight.

(He takes it off and tosses it to the side.)

Don't want to be a bad guy.
I'm just a loner, buddy.
And now you're gotten in my way!

(He makes a scary face at OOGIE, causing him to shudder.)


I can't decide,
Whether you should live or die.

(It goes to a scene where he's tugging on one of OOGIE's seams.)

Oh, you'll probably go to heaven...

(OOGIE is wearing a halo and angel wings when the scene changes.)

Please don't hang your head and cry.

(OOGIE is seen in another slide, panicking.)

No wonder why,
My heart feels dead inside.
It's cold and hard and petrified!

(JACK closes a door and some blinds, then turn back to OOGIE with a creepy smile.)

Lock the doors and close the blinds,
We're going for a ride!

(The spotlight switches to OOGIE.)

OOGIE

It's stupid convincing people to like you...

(He puts on a top hat.)

If I lose now, call me a cheater!
If kindness was a bug, you'd be eaten.

(He walks over to JACK.)

Pleasing everyone is just like you.

(He taps JACK's chest with an annoyed look on his face.)

Dancing jigs until I'm crippled,
Slug ten drinks I won't get pickled!

I've got to hand it to you,
You've played by all the same rules.

(He laughs mockingly.)

It takes the truth to fool me,
And now you've made me angry!!

(He tosses off the top hat.)

I can't decide,
Whether you should live or die!

Oh, you'll probably go to heaven,
Please don't hang your head and cry!

No wonder why,
My heart feels dead inside...

It's cold and hard and petrified!

(He slams a door shut, then closes some blinds.)

Lock the doors and close the blinds,
We're going for a ride!!

(The spotlight goes on both of them.)

(It goes to a scene with OOGIE tossing JACK into a lake.)

OOGIE

Ohh, I could throw you in the lake!

JACK

(It goes to a scene where JACK is holding out a cake to OOGIE, with an X-ray showing that on the inside of it, there's a can of bug spray.)

Or feed you poisoned birthday cake.

OOGIE (Folds arms, in a sarcastic voice.)

I won't deny, I'm gonna miss you when you're gone.

Oh, I could bury you alive,
But you might crawl out with a knife.

(It goes to a scene where JACK is buried alive by OOGIE, then him crawling out of the ground with a knife.)

And kill me when I'm sleeping!

(It shows JACK stabbing OOGIE with the knife in his back.)

(Then the scene changes back to both of them being on the stage.)

BOTH

That's why,

I can't decide,
Whether you should live or die!

(They look at each other.)

Oh, you'll probably go to heaven...
Please don't hang your head and cry!

No wonder why.

(They both shrug.)

My heart feels dead inside,
It's cold and hard and petrified!

(They look upwards, then back at the crowd.)

Lock the doors and close the blinds,
We're going for a ride!!


(They both laugh creepily, the song ends, the lights fade and the curtains close.)
